Away We Go!*

When my partner became pregnant last summer, her carrying on working after maternity leave and me doing most of the childcare seemed the logical thing to do since I didn't currently have paid employment and she had built up a successful practice as an architect. I felt that I was likely to get bored of talking to infants all day and so thought I'd turn my new occupation, stay at home dad, into an income stream by writing a blog about bringing up baby sustainably but I was not sure how to monetise this. Then I read an article by Paul Wheaton on permies.com about just that (http://www.permies.com/t/16439/financial-strategy/building-residual-income-streams.)
At New Year my resolution was to start writing a blog and to write something everyday.
Yesterday evening, Monday 18th January 2016, our son was born so time for me to stop researching, planning and start doing! ('too much preparation, Mr Hill,' as an ex of mine used to say of my tendency to procrastinate...)
And so here we are: 'Away we go!'(* ref. to Sam Mendes', One of my/ our favourite films...)
